THE PROPOSAL
"It was a Thursday evening, and I'd had a tough day at work. Lachie wanted to go hunting - I agreed and then was told we were going 'across the river', about 30 minutes from home. Once we got there, Lachie sent me up to open a gate for some sheep to come out of, while he went up the track further. When I found him, there was champagne on ice, a cheese platter, music, a small fire and picnic blanket, where he got down on one knee, overlooking an amazing view of North Otago."
THE WEDDING
"Our wedding was at Omarama Top 10 Holiday Park on 17.12.21.
Omarama Top 10 Holiday Park is where my family has camped for 30 odd years and where Lachie and I spend some of our summer holidays.
We also actually meet at the pub in Omarama!
I actually loved standing up there in front of our friends and family becoming Mrs Kingan! We wrote our own vows which made it very special.
Also, the party on the dance floor - so much fun! Our band, LA Social, were amazing!"
THE THEME
"We went for simple but effective.
Our spot that we chose was surrounded in amazing trees so we didn't have to do too much - it had natural beauty."
FROM ONE BRIDE TO ANOTHER
"Be relaxed and just go with it. No one knows what it should have been like or looked like!
Enjoy your day surrounded by your loved ones and enjoy the days before and after it! Getting married is FUN!"
THE DRESSES
"My bridesmaids loved their dresses! I wanted something different so I chose different colours and let them choose their favourite style."
