"We were high school sweethearts!"
THE PROPOSAL
"First, Harry designed the ring using family diamonds with my grandma. We had our graduation ceremonies a week apart, a week after my birthday, so Harry had planned a week away to celebrate all the occasions.
We first went to Queenstown to see our goddaughter and friend Devyn- who ended up being my MOH, then to Tekapo in the Mackenzie Country; our favourite place.
On the first morning, Harry went off fishing to the Twizel canals and said he would be home at lunch before we'd be going on a late birthday surprise.
Harry organised Devyn to surprise me at the airport and away we went on a helicopter trip over the glaciers and mountains, with a landing at Whiskey Hut.
Harry got Devyn to snap a photo of us with a nice view and while I was distracted by the photo, Harry got down on one knee. I said YES!"
THE WEDDING
"We got married at the Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat. We always knew it would be a dream to get married in our favourite place. After looking around Blenheim (our hometown), we decided to check out the options for a destination wedding in our favourite location.
We instantly fell in love with the retreat, contacted Luke the owner and met him and Anna the event co-ordinator and the rest was history. We wanted a smaller wedding that was very family focused with our nearest and dearest. It was so special that everyone made a holiday trip down for our wedding. Couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect day!"
THE BRIDESMAIDS
Devyn and Chelsea - my two best friends were a no-brainer to have standing beside us, and then I had my sister Mya and Harry's sister Hannah. It was so special to have both of our sisters beside us throughout the whole process as family is one of our biggest core values."
THE DRESSES
"They all loved the sage green colour and we're happy to pick a dress that suited their body shape.
Having the sample dress service was a big plus for us being all around the country - Blenheim, Dunedin, Alexandra and Christchurch.
Sage green just felt like the perfect colour that complemented the landscape."
