Over looking the vineyards at the picturesque Mission Estate winery, Dane popped the question on our seven year anniversary. He had the ring hidden away for months waiting for the right moment to drop the knee!
We got married on the 3rd of October 2020 at St Georges Restaurant in the Hawkes Bay. We got married under the leafless rustic vines of St Georges stunning outdoor patio. Naturally decorated it has such a romantic, organic feel which we complemented with floral covered pillars.
We wanted a classic and timeless feel for the day, so opted for a black and white theme and the rest fell into place from there. Our styling was minimal with soft florals and candles being the main focus.
Expectations and Reality
We had some very close family members and friends who weren't able to make our big day due to Covid restrictions. We live streamed the festivities for those who weren't able to be there in person. We were surprised with video messages from family in Ireland and the UK, which made the day even more special.
From One Bride To Another
Enjoy the moment! Take a moment to remember what’s important to you both as a couple, and remember its a celebration of your love and journey together!
One of our favourite moments from the day was during the dinner service. Whilst our guests enjoyed the beautiful menu we slipped out with our photographer for some sunset photos. After the rush of the day to spend a few moments alone to celebrate was exactly what we needed.
