Marry Me
Reinn had the ring for a whole year before he finally found the perfect spot. The ring had been with us to various countries all over the world without me knowing. He got down on one knee on a beautiful beach in Nicaragua and I couldn't have been any happier. It was the perfect ring he had designed himself and we had an absolutely amazing sunset to go with it, well worth the wait!
The Day
Our wedding was on the 20th of February 2021 in Tuateawa, Coromandel. The location is very special to us as it was on Reinn's Family property which we have been to many times over our years together. Reinn's Uncle Barry owns the property now and Reinn's Mum had grown up there as a small kid.
Inspiration
I wanted my wedding to be romantic, simple and elegant. I actually changed my mind on my theme so many times. It was so overwhelming, that's why I was so happy on the day when it all came together and somehow worked perfectly. The views at the venue are beautiful and I didn't want to steal that away with too many decorations. I tried to use as many local vendors as I could and ended up buying quite a few items second hand from other brides. I would say I was constantly inspired from other brides and weddings I had seen on Instagram and tried to pick little things from each but still make it personal to us.
Expectations and Reality
I was obviously full of expectations for the big day as I had been dreaming about it since I was a young girl, however the day was much, much better than I could have ever imagined. The weather was amazing and theres' something special about seeing it all come together after stressing and changing your mind 100 times! Seeing all the smiles, laughs and being surrounded by everyone you love, truly makes it the best day ever.
From One Bride To Another
I know everyone says it but try not to stress too much and trust that everything will work out in the end. Really stop and take a moment to look around on the day and take it all in - the atmosphere will be magical!
Best Moment
I always thought I would be terrified and nervous walking down the isle as I'm not one to be the centre of attention but by the time the car finally pulled up at the end of the isle I just wanted to get down that isle and marry the man of my dreams! It was weird, I was so happy and so relaxed. I could relive that moment over and over again.
