Marry Me

Toby proposed during a family weekend away in Strahan, Tasmania. We drove to Ocean Beach and walked down to the beach where he proposed. Our families were looking on from the lookout above. It is such a special memory now.

The Big Day

We got married at Eagles Nest Retreat, a B&B property not far from Sheffield on Tasmania's North West Coast. It was the most perfect location, as we had accommodation for the bridal party and our immediate families on site.

I surprised myself with how calm I was throughout the day! I pictured myself as a very stressed bride, but it was the complete opposite! Our wonderful vendors, bridal party, and families were all amazing help to us, and I think this played a big part in why I was totally chilled!

Best Moment

It was probably the time just after our ceremony. It was so lovely to have all those informal chats and photos with our guests; they are such precious memories.

From Bride to Bride

Organise any jobs you can in advance and make sure you leave time to do the things that can't be done until closer to the date. Accept that not everything will be 100% perfect, but that your day will be amazing no matter what.

The Bridesmaids

When we found the Blak Bridesmaids range, we knew it would be perfect for us. Being able to choose a different style for each bridesmaid was fantastic, and each of the girls was super happy with their chosen style. We decided on the colour "siesta" after ordering some sample fabrics from Blak, and we were all very happy with it and the quality of the fabric.

Inspiration

We didn't set out to have a particular theme. We knew we didn't want anything too formal or elegant, and decided to incorporate a bit of colour through the bridesmaids' dresses, given that the boys' suits were navy blue.
