Marry Me
On the 9th June last year, we took a walk over to Orokawa Bay. With the ocean as his backdrop, Kyle dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him and of course I said “yes”. It was the perfect Sunday. We sat in the sun, in front of the Waihi Beach Surf Club, drinking champagne celebrating.
The Big Day
We got married at the Waihi Beach Surf Club. We both love Waihi Beach - we're building our first home here and it’s where we celebrated our engagement too.
I expected it to fly by like all our friends and family had told us it would. I thought I'd be super stressed and worried most of the day too! But It was the most magical day, we both had such an amazing day surrounded by so much love. We didn’t want the day to end!
Inspiration
We went for laidback casual. My husband is a Hawaiian shirt and jandal type of guy. It was his special day too so he chose what he would feel most comfortable in.
From One Bride to Another
Be as organised as possible prior to the day. Write a run sheet and allocate a friend or family member to be timekeeper so everyone keeps to the schedule!
Best Moment
The best part was saying our vows. Being able to share our love and promises in front of all our friends and family was amazing.
