THE LOVE STORY

"Sean and I met on the dating app Bumble. Sean jokes that he was my best internet purchase! We both were looking for that second chance at love. He had two daughters from a previous relationship and I had a son. We both had instant chemistry when we met and could talk for hours."

THE PROPOSAL

"Sean got down on one knee when we were in Queenstown by Lake Wakatipu. It was a gorgeous day and the reason he wanted to do it there as he saw a photo of my son and I on Facebook when we went on a holiday to Queenstown and knew he wanted a future with me. It feels like a blur as he was so nervous but it was so special with the most amazing backdrop. We then went on a helicopter ride to the top of The Remarkables followed by dinner and celebratory champagne at the Skyline Restaurant. A truly magical day!"

THE WEDDING

"Our wedding was at Flaxmere House near Bethell's Beach. Our day was the most special beautiful day we could have asked for. Everything went like clockwork and even the rain decided so stop 30 minutes before our ceremony so we could have it outside.

My husband Sean had a best man, one groomsman and two groomswomen. We had my son Jack as a page boy who, along with my dad, walked me down the aisle.

Sean's eldest daughter Lily was a junior bridesmaid and his youngest daughter Ava was a flower girl. It was important when merging our two families together that our children were a part of our wedding."

THE BRIDESMAIDS

"My maid of honour was my best friend Ashleigh who has been by my side for more than 10 years. Ashleigh had her daughter not long after I had my son and we have always been there for each other. Through hard university study, through break ups and even working together.

My bridesmaid Lisa I’ve also know for over 10 years and we met through work. She's another friend who has always been there and is very supportive. I was there on her special day as a bridesmaid and I couldn’t have asked for a better friendship.

Cat, my third bridesmaid is a friend you can rely on to always be there. I met her at our antenatal group when we were having our babies and it is a true blessing to be her friend.

Lily, my stepdaughter was my junior bridesmaid and is a beautiful ten year old girl with a lovely smile and a kind heart. I loved having her as a part of the bridal party, she shone and is very mature and knew exactly what to do.

On the morning of the wedding we all enjoyed champagne and mimosas while getting our hair and make up done. My bridesmaids had sage green robes and grey slippers to match their Sage bridesmaids' dresses and Sean's groomswomen joined us with navy robes to match their Navy dresses. It was truly a lovely relaxing morning with an amazing bunch of women and children."

THE DRESSES

"The girls loved their dresses. When I found that Blak could make dresses to order and I could choose the fabric and colour that was my decision made right there!

It was very important to me that my bridesmaids and groomswomen were comfortable and felt beautiful on our day. I wanted them to go in and choose a style they liked and then have either Sage for my side or Navy for Sean’s side.

The Sage and Navy was amazing with my white dress and the flower girls' white dresses. All three colours popped at the venue and with the Bethell's Beach backdrop."
